Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America Expands Direct, Local Sales Operations with Sharp Business systems of Georgia

Mahwah, NJ, February 2, 2012 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) today announced that it is expanding its direct regional sales operation with the opening of a new Sharp Business Systems branch in Alpharetta, Georgia.  Sharp Business Systems of Georgia opened today as the eleventh branch of the division.

SIICA purchased Atlanta-area DocuTeam to launch Sharp Business Systems in Georgia.  DocuTeam has served the market since 1998, gaining a reputation for superior service and commitment to its customers.  Over the years, the company has expanded to five offices, more than 100 employees, and 10,000 customers.   All employees of DocuTeam have been asked to join the Sharp team and will provide seamless service to new and existing customers throughout Georgia.

Moving forward, Sharp Business Systems of Georgia will offer their customers Sharp’s award-winning line of advanced office products and solutions, including MFPs, display products, and applications for streamlining office workflow.  The company will continue to provide the same high level of service and also continue to serve existing equipment and contract agreements.

HP Simplifies Networking with Broadest Choice of OpenFlow-enabled Switches

HP today announced a portfolio of OpenFlow-enabled switches, providing customers with the broadest choice in the industry for simplifying network management while meeting a wide range of bandwidth, performance and budget needs.(1)

The portfolio spans 16 models and includes the HP 3500, 5400 and 8200 series switches.

Additionally, HP plans to expand support for OpenFlow across all switches in the HP FlexNetwork architecture this year, making HP the only major networking vendor to offer a complete portfolio of OpenFlow-enabled solutions.

OpenFlow is an emerging network virtualization technology that provides customers flexibility and control to configure their networking environments to their specifications.

HP Improves Customer Experience for PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company

HP today announced that Seattle-based PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company has upgraded its customer communication management solution to HP Exstream to improve the customer experience it offers through personalized policies, invoices, renewal letters and privacy notices.

HP Exstream enables PEMCO to more quickly communicate new insurance offerings and easily scale to meet the requirements of its growing customer base.

In addition to support for multiple customer communications channels such as web, text and email, PEMCO will use HP Exstream to provide consistent branding, reduce print and postage costs, and decrease its environmental footprint. Due to the low total cost of ownership for HP Exstream, PEMCO is aiming to achieve 100 percent return on investment within 24 months.
